Primary Years Programme

St John’s is an Authorised school for the Primary Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate Organisation. This is a curriculum framework that supports student learning and the way that staff teach students. This framework enables teachers to deliver units of inquiry that immerse the students in a variety of subject areas. It is a  'transdisciplinary’ approach to teaching and learning.

The PYP focuses on the total growth of the child and helps them to become global citizens. The International Baccalaureate Organisation’s mission statement condenses part of what we value for the students at St John’s:
