Sports Day

First term saw the St John’s Sports Day underway and growing bigger than ever! Students, along with their family and friends enjoyed perfect weather, with temperatures in the mid to high 20s. The Blue, Gold, Green and Red teams began the day with their high energy (and high volume!) team raps and set the scene for some great competition that was to follow.

An outstanding ‘sporting spirit’ was present in all events, and parents and staff alike could see that the students were competing to their full potential. Tabloid events such as high jump, long jump and long throw were enjoyed by the upper primary, while the junior primary students participated in the sack race, egg and spoon race, tunnel ball and the potato relay.

In the end there had to be a winner, the Blue team is now back on top - well done Blue!   Many thanks to the Sports Day Committee, staff and parents for all of your help making this year’s Sports Day a great time of fun and competition.
