Student Health
Medicine
The school must be supplied with a signed and dated note giving clear instructions of how to administer your child's medication, and this must be supplied in a pharmacy-labelled container/package. School staff are unable to dispense medication to students unless the parent/caregiver has consented, in writing.
For long-term medication kept at school, the parent/caregiver should ensure that the preparation is within it's "Use By" date and is clearly marked with the student's name, and also that it is accompanied by a current letter from the doctor outlining the dose and frequency of the medication.
